Professional Counseling for Personal Healing and Growth

For a meaningful and productive therapy experience, you need to feel a real connection built on safety, respect, and trust. That sense of connection and safety provides the foundation upon which you can pursue personal growth and healing.

Meet the Counseling “Team”

It started as one, and the next step is expanding! If you are a licensed clinician (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) interested in sharing office space in Montrose or joining the practice virtually or in-person, visit Join The Team for more info.

Hello! I’m a counselor to fulfill a lifelong sense of compassion for others who are hurting. I’m grateful for years of varied counseling experience and for a surprise career detour as a wordsmith.

BCMH exists because of a call not to just have a private practice but to open it up and create a space where colleagues can feel supported to do the work they feel called to do. An organizationally healthy, happy, mutually supportive environment defined by creativity, integrity, humility, professional rigor, unity in diversity of talents and backgrounds, and most of all joy.

I thank God for all the pain and joy, missteps and smart choices, grief and healing, deconstruction and reconstruction—all through persistent waves of grace. These things fuel my passion for helping others.

  • Human pain and passages

I see human people, ages 14 to 104, to address depression, self-worth, identity and meaning, trauma, grief, ambiguous loss, relationship issues, and life transitions. I take an integrated approach, using CBT, SFBT, PCT, and some DBT, depending on the person, their treatment goals, and rhythms of the session.

I also have an MFA in creative writing, but that’s another story!

  • Licensed Clinician (nickname LC)

LC started in community mental health, which trained her across a diverse population and treatment modalities. She is happy to have found BCMH to hang her shingle, citing the “supportive environment, flexible schedule, and awesome coworkers” as the things she most appreciates. When she’s not seeing clients you’ll find her in rivers and lakes in waders or on a SUP board.

  • LC’s passions and experience include play therapy, EMDR, and helping girls and women of all ages heal from sexual trauma. Could this be you?
